I'm sure this successful place has little interest in listening to its patrons but should they do... Crab dip tasted strangely like warm tuna fish from the can and the chips were cooked in oil that was overdue to be changed. She crab soup arrived room temp with a teaspoon not soup spoon. They took the bowls back and put them under the broiler as the top came out with a skin and the soup not much warmer. Did I mention the place has a great view? Service was excellent by a young guy Ryan who tried his best. Green beans are of the canned variety broiled flounder was best thing on our table. The crab poppers were the size of hush puppies but made of a little crab a lot of breading peppers and a touch of old bay? Was hoping for jalapeños stuffed with crab. Well wish with the view we had I could say the food was decent enough to want to come back but I'm afraid not. It's one thing to own a nice property and make money slinging hash and it is another thing to have pride in what you do and attach your name to it. It would not take much to turn this kitchen around and put some love and new recipes in place. It's worth the view.

was'nt the best seafood i ate nor the most extensive menu but it was friendly and the food was good and decently priced while having a nice scenic view out of the window

Opt Out of the Fried... go with grilled. Forgot to mention this to our waiter ("The King T.") and I received the Seafood platter fried. Took me 3 days to recover my digestive system. Food does come out quick. Contend with tourists and non-locals. Fast paced, conveyor belt restaurant but if in a hurry for a quick fix local seafood... well this in one of about a dozen or so places w/in a square mile.

Nance's is great! If you are looking for great seafood and great service in a very casual atmosphere, this is your spot. The restaurant is definitely no frills- but thats what we like about it. The fried seafood is delicious and so are the oysters and crab legs. We have been many times and are never disappointed!

I think Nance's is great. We go to Myrtle Beach every year for spring break and always be sure to stop at Nance's at least once. Their oyster roasts are excellent. The fried dishes are just ok, I would go for an oyster roast over any of the other food, it will not disappoint!

Big disappointment! We dined here on October 17th. We were a party of 5 and while there were available and nobody else waiting many other parties were seated until the manager noticed we were still waiting and she seated us. Our server was Taylor or Tyler and couldn't have been more rude if he tried. When asked how different dishes were prepared due to food allergies he abruptly informed us the majority of dishes were prepared with what I am allergic to including the complimentary hush puppies. I did make a selection as did my husband as he is allergic to fish so we had cheese burgers which were hockey pucks and could not be chewed. The other 4 in our party had their beverages refilled but I had to ask 3 times to have my iced tea refilled. I need to add that upon serving our entrees our server made another jab that food prep takes longer when there are allergies. Overpriced and unfriendly!

On a recent trip to the Charleston, SC area we had dinner here. My girlfriend ordered the locally caught flounder. Our waitress returned saying they were out of this item. So she ordered salmon. Later, after receiving our food, we overheard the waitress next to us taking and filling a flounder order. We asked our waitress what was going on. She checked and told us the cook did not speak English very well! We asked to talk to the manager who made a lukewarm apology. I asked him to do what he thought would make this right. After all we can get Atlantic salmon anywhere. Additionally, we ordered Kendall Jackson Chardonnay, my girlfriend's go-to favorite. and were served some crappy substitute. not wishing to spoil the evening by following my instinct to raise hell, we said nothing about he wine rip-off. In the end the manager did not charge us for the wine to compensate for fish snafu. He was quite unprofessional. Our waitress was fine and food overall was good except for he tough and mediocre hush puppies. We will not eat here again. I would not recommend Nance's. There are plenty of fish in the sea and even more fish restaurants in South Carolina. Want a good one? go to Seewee, north of Charleston on 17. Great fish, best hush puppies and friendly, personal service.
